The Feedback-Driven Developer
An editorial-style landing page for a software engineering book, treated like a proper publication rather than a startup. Serif type, a bit of grain, a timeline of updates, a live demo tucked in the corner, and page transitions that do not need a framework.
Make a software engineering book look like a premium publication rather than another bootstrap template, so senior engineers take it seriously.
The Challenge
The rights had reverted from the publisher and the book needed its own identity. The brief was to steer well clear of the generic startup look and build something with a bit of authority, aimed at senior engineers and technical leads, that made the price feel reasonable.
The Solution
The interface uses a Silver, Charcoal and Gold palette to suggest a limited edition, with heavy serif type and print-like grain.
A timeline component shows the updates, so it is clearly a book that is still being worked on, and the browser's native View Transitions API handles the movement between the landing page and the micro-chapters. That gives you the app-like feel without carrying a JavaScript framework around to get it.

What Shipped
Have something that needs
building properly?
A shop that actually sells things, some awkward bit of logic nobody else wants to touch, or just a second opinion on what you already have. The workshop is open.
